Description
This is a watercolor I completed in August, 2018. I live in a wonderful paradise here on the Big Island of Hawaii and inspiration is so easily accessible to me. When I first moved here I used the plants around me as references for honing my watercolor skills. Over time I wanted to challenge myself a bit more and started working on portraits.
I live about 1500 feet above the ocean and the life up there is both challenging and rewarding. This portrait emulates the forest that I live in, feminine beauty and the power of the lush vegetation. To me, this is the spirit of my home.
