Description
This watercolor painting I did was a study to capture the many colors that turtles emanate. These ancient creatures have inspired so much art and song throughout our history that is was natural for me to pick it as a subject. They have such a unique and fascinating pattern on both their shell and skin. Their shells reflect seasons of prosperity and failure throughout their long, well traveled lives. Their skin tells the tale of where they’ve been and who they’ve met along the way. It is so special to be able to see these alluring creatures in person here in Hawaii.
