Description
This giclee is a painting I did as a study of the Ohia blossom with a portrait of a woman. There are so many stories of this beautiful tree that grows out of the bare lava on the Big Island of Hawaii. I have always imagined them as a beautiful crown but they do not last long once they are picked. The bright red blossom is a great contrast in both color and texture to the smooth blue branches and cool green leaves. These contrasts reflect the tones of skin I chose.
